Basketball Recap: Paradise Makes It Five in a Row at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Paradise duked it out withCallisburg on Tuesday. The Paradise Panthers strolled past the Callisburg Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Wildcats are ranked 580th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Callisburg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jakob Moore, who posted ten points, and Caden Whittington, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points.

Paradise pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Callisburg, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Coincidentally, Paradise and Callisburg will both be playing Ponder the next time they take the court. Paradise will head out to face Ponder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Callisburg will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
