2A Conference 33 recap October 22, 2013
Arcadia added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 33 this week by beating Washington, 35-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Firebirds.
King William led the league in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Mathews.
Nandua's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tyreim Blake chipped in 93 yards. Mahagee Wise helped Nandua's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
Blake was a passing and rushing force as the Warriors defeated Colonel Richardson. Blake's key target this week was William Battle, who caught 2 passes for 15 yards.
Battle was the best wideout in the league this week as Nandua topped the Colonels. Battle racked up 2 receptions for 15 yards. Wise helped Nandua's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is David Wright. The Nandua star has 7 catches for 194 yards.
A big matchup in 2A Conference 33 this week will be when Chris Miles' team takes on Arcadia. The Warriors are currently in fourth, while Bill Prince's team is in second.
