Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Blair Vikings walked away with it. They strolled past the Contenders with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 92-73. The win was just what Blair needed coming off of a 93-49 loss in their prior game.
Blair got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Serigne Deme out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deme has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Timmy Anderson, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
Blair's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Faith Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
Blair will look to defend their home court on Friday against North at 7:00 p.m. North presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Blair in California (North is ranked 148th, while Blair is ranked 364th). Faith Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
