Mastery is 0-4 against Solebury since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mastery Warrior will head out on the road to face off against the Solebury Spartans at 4:00 p.m.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 101-20, which was the final score in Mastery's tilt against Eastside on Friday. Mastery has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Solebury scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to The City School for the full four quarters, racking up a 85-50 victory on the road. With Solebury ahead 50-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Solebury's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tyler Simpson, who scored 22 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, and Makhai Anderson , who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Simpson has scored at least 25% of Solebury's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joell Idrovo, who scored 14 points.
Mastery's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Solebury, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
