The Gloria Deo Academy Lions lost against the Great Hearts Northern Oaks Griffins back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gloria Deo Academy was the victim of a rough 62-41 loss at the hands of Great Hearts Northern Oaks.
Great Hearts Northern Oaks can attribute much of their success to Ryan Matson, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Isai Moran, who scored ten points.
Gloria Deo Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Gloria Deo Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Vanguard Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Vanguard Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Randolph at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Randolph has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
