The win was all the more spectacular given Lampeter-Strasburg's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Chambersburg is ranked 37th).
Lampeter-Strasburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Smucker, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Herr, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Lampeter-Strasburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Chambersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3-1.
Lampeter-Strasburg on the road again on Tuesday and play against Cocalico at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Cocalico will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Chambersburg, Chambersburg and Harrisburg will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
