Knox is 3-0 against Griffith since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Knox Redskins will be home for the holidays to greet the Griffith Panthers at 9:00 a.m. Knox is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Knox was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to West Central.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-24, which was the final score in Griffith's tilt against Washington Township on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Griffith can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Washington Township is ranked 188th).
Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Griffith, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for Knox against Griffith when the teams last played back in December of 2019 as the team secured a 59-26 victory. With Knox ahead 33-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
