On Friday Pomeroy take on Touchet at 3:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
Pomeroy simply couldn't be stopped last week, as they easily beat St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 58-0. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-0.
Meanwhile, Touchet couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Garfield-Palouse by a score of 0-2.
Pomeroy's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Touchet's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Pomeroy's success rolls on or if Touchet are able to steal their positive momentum.
