The North Creek Jaguars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They secured a 49-43 W over Redmond. That's another feather in the cap for North Creek, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikah Hammerquist out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Seirat Bhullar, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sofia Locati, who scored 13 points along with four blocks and two steals. Locati has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Iha Kasam was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
North Creek's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Redmond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
North Creek will head out on the road to face off against Issaquah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Issaquah will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Redmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
