With a playoff win on the line, Gunter rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Hughes Springs Mustangs 13-6. Considering the Tigers have won 26 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Gunter and bumps their season record up to 35-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Hughes Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 25-8.

Coming up, Gunter will challenge Liberty-Eylau on Saturday. Hughes Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
