Pine Hill and the Mustangs are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Pine Hill Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Ramah Mustangs at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the Mustangs like a good challenge.
Pine Hill put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past To'hajiilee 72-36 at home.
It was another big night for Brett Baker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Channing James, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Ramah fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Tse' Yi' Gai with a 54-48 win on Saturday.
Pine Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Ramah, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-12.
Everything went Pine Hill's way against the Mustangs when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the Warriors made off with a 69-49 win. Will Pine Hill repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
