Halifax has gone a perfect 5-0 against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the WolfPack at 4:30 p.m. Halifax will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Halifax got the win against Line Mountain by a conclusive 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Brandon Schell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played.

In other batting news, Halifax let Cohen Bechtel and Brayden Midile run wild. Bechtel got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and one triple, while Midile scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Midile a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Miller, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy and East Juniata meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The WolfPack put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the WolfPack considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Caleb Foytack made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Foytack was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on CJ Grove, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Hayden Lingle was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
Halifax's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
Halifax took their win against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the WolfPack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
