Arcadia will be playing at home against Plain Dealing at at 7:00 PM on Friday. If the matchup is anything like the 50-36 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Arcadia have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game against Ringgold last Friday by a conclusive 42-8 score. Among those leading the charge for Arcadia was senior Corey Russell, jr., who rushed for 236 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 5th match in which Russell, jr. has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-50, which was the final score in Plain Dealing's tilt against Jonesboro-Hodge. The state rankings had actually given Plain Dealing a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Arcadia's win lifted them to 1-4 while Plain Dealing's loss dropped them down to 2-4. The Arcadia defense got after the quarterback against Ringgold to the tune of four sacks, so Plain Dealing's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
