If the Harrisonburg Bulldogs were feeling good off their 54-32 takedown of the Sicily Island Tigers two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Harrisonburg was dealt a 62-30 loss at the hands of Montgomery on Thursday. Harrisonburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Montgomery apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Montgomery's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A Manson, who scored 13 points along with nine assists and five rebounds. Manson also posted eight+ assists for the first time this season. D. Moore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Harrisonburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Montgomery, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
Harrisonburg will take on Grant at TBD on Monday. Montgomery will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Georgetown comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
