While Timpview didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. On the mound,  Clark   struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Meanwhile,  Christensen   pitched 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance gave  Clark a new career-low in  earned runs. At the plate,  Clark  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-5, while  Christensen  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Christensen is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.

 In other batting news, Timpview let  Tyler Weed and  Beckham Woodward run wild. Weed  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Woodward  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. Those  four  RBI gave  Weed a new career-high.  Ty Wester also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Timpview pushed their record up to 5-2 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Duchesne, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season.
 Timpview will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Cottonwood  at 3:00  p.m. Cottonwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2  runs per game  this season. As for Duchesne, they will head out on the road to  challenge  North Sevier  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Duchesne has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
