Softball Recap: South Davidson Gets the Win

South Davidson won the last time they faced Leadership Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Davidson Wildcats came out on top against the Leadership Academy Falcons by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Payton Cook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Madison Cook was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Katlyn Hill, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

South Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Leadership Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

South Davidson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salisbury at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Leadership Academy, they will face off against River Mill at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
