The Glastonbury Guardians will take on the Enfield Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glastonbury will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against East Catholic on Friday. The Guardians blew past the Eagles 22-14. The Guardians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Glastonbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Enfield had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Hornets as they made off with an 18-1 victory. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.
Cassidy Wallner made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Wallner was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Claire Bouffard and Emily Lyver did most of the damage at the plate: Bouffard went 3-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs, while Lyver got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That home run was Bouffard's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Payten Stebbins, who went 2-for-4 with four runs.
Glastonbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Enfield, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
