Collegiate came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Collegiate had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-5, 25-22.

Carlyle Johnson paced Collegiate's offense, picking up 27 kills. Johnson got some help from Clara Monahan and her 17 assists. Monahan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Ternes, each putting up four.

Despite the loss, Pretty Prairie still got an impressive performance from Jaelyn Price, who had five digs and three aces.

Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Pretty Prairie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Conway Springs on the 4th. As for Pretty Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Kingman on the 4th.
