The South Lakes Seahawks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Centreville 45-3 on the road. With South Lakes ahead 28-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Lakes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Harris, who threw for 347 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was James Zschunke, who picked up 163 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
South Lakes pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Centreville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lakes will take on Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Centreville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against James Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. James Madison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Centreville in Virginia (James Madison is ranked 15th, while Centreville is ranked 183rd).
