The Lincoln Cardinals were the 47-19 winner over the Warsaw Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lincoln was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 60-59 to Warsaw. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Warsaw got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Gemes out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Gemes' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Siebert, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Warsaw, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warsaw, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Skyline at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
