Southwest Onslow posted their closest win since April 12, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the East Duplin Panthers 3-2. The Stallions haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kannon Huffman and Logan Marks did most of the damage at the plate: Huffman got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Marks scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Cole Jarman, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Southwest Onslow's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for East Duplin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Southwest Onslow has already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Kinston on the 1st. As for East Duplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against North Duplin on the 31st.
