The Veterans Warhawks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 62-29 victory over Spalding on the road. The victory was just what Veterans needed coming off of a 72-51 defeat in their prior game.
Spalding's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jala Morgan, who scored 4 points.
Veterans' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Spalding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Veterans will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Swainsboro at 6:00 p.m. As for Spalding, they will head out on the road to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Westside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Friday.
