The Barrington Eagles will be playing at home against the Mt. Pleasant Kilties at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Barrington will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Barrington can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Woonsocket. With Barrington ahead 28-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant faced Cumberland in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mt. Pleasant took a 28-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland on Saturday.
Although Mt. Pleasant took the loss, they still got scores from Stylez Negron and Cassidy Negron.
Barrington's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
Barrington strolled past Mt. Pleasant in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 35-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Mt. Pleasant's Israel Hiraldo, who picked up 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
