The Cane Bay Cobras suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Ashley Ridge 60-30. Cane Bay was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-13.
Despite the loss, Cane Bay still got an impressive performance from Anai Custodio, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Custodio has scored all season.
Cane Bay bumped their record down to 5-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ashley Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Cane Bay won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Stratford at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Ashley Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Summerville at 7:00 p.m. Summerville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
