The Jordan-Matthews Jets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 30-24 victory over North Moore. The victory was just what Jordan-Matthews needed coming off of a 58-13 loss in their prior contest.
Jordan-Matthews got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lia Carter out in front who scored six points along with 11 steals. Those 11 steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Saniya White, who scored six points along with five steals.
When it comes to explaining why North Moore lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hannah Hunt. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Jordan-Matthews now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Moore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will take on Cummings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cummings and Jordan-Matthews are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. North Moore will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Bartlett Yancey is ranked 320th, while North Moore is ranked 334th).
