Softball Recap: Pace Wins Going Away Against Mcallen Memorial

Pace posted their biggest win since March 22, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past the McAllen Memorial Mustangs 9-2.

Pace let Lilly Banda and Anafernanda Perez loose on the outfield. Banda went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Perez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Valeria Alvarado, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Pace was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in five consecutive matches dating back to last season.

The victory got Pace back to even at 1-1. As for McAllen Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pace will take on Pioneer at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for McAllen Memorial, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Rowe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
