Lipscomb Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Ravenwood Raptors. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row dating back to last season.
Lipscomb Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 28-26, 25-22.
Lipscomb Academy found their leader in freshman Lila Jensen, who had 12 digs and two aces.
Looking ahead, Lipscomb Academy will welcome Hume-Fogg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ravenwood, they will challenge Father Ryan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
