The Lauralton Hall Crusaders were the 54-47 winner over the Shelton Gaels when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lauralton Hall took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Lauralton Hall still got an impressive performance from Maura Bosse, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 38.2% of Lauralton Hall's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lauren Marsden, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lauralton Hall were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Lauralton Hall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Shelton, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

As for Shelton, they will head out on the road to take on Sacred Heart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
