After only two points in their last game, The Chaffee Red Devils made sure to put some points up on the board against the Grandview Eagles on Friday. Chaffee claimed a resounding 41-6 victory over Grandview at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chaffee.
Carson Spies went supernova for Chaffee, rushing for 245 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Spies was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Shelton Simmons was another key contributor, rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Despite the loss, Grandview still got an impressive performance from Nash Moore, who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown.
Chaffee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Grandview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Chaffee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Van-Far at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Van-Far is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
