Like Orting, Franklin Pierce also got a great game from a two-way player: Leila Kennach. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Franklin Pierce pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Orting, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.
Both Orting and Franklin Pierce just can't seem to miss. Orting has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Franklin Pierce struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
