Baseball Recap: D'hanis Wins Going Away Against Brackett

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charlotte, D'Hanis was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Brackett Tigers with a sharp 24-9 victory. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Brent Frosch made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. He has become a key player for D'Hanis: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Easton King was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kade Hendry was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

D'Hanis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Brackett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

D'Hanis has already played their next matchup, a 20-3 victory against La Pryor on the 25th. Brackett has also already played their next contest (against Sabinal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
