The Mott Marauders lost against the Cousino Patriots back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mott took a hard 65-46 fall against Cousino. Mott has not had much luck with Cousino recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Cousino can attribute much of their success to Justin Lifshay, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lifshay has scored at least 25% of Cousino's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Cade, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Mott bumped their record down to 1-2 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cousino, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Mott's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. One thing working in Lakeview's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Cousino will be home for the holidays to greet Anchor Bay at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
