After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Forsyth, East Forsyth was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the East Davidson Golden Eagles 15-0. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Allie Cox made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Tessa Troxler was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mariah Davis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
East Forsyth hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Davidson struck out eight times.
