Normal Community came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ironmen also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Oak Park-River Forest's loss came despite strong showings from Kate Bailitz and Edie Carroll. Bailitz had 11 digs and two assists, while Carroll had four digs and two aces.

Normal Community's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Oak Park-River Forest, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Normal Community will square off against Moline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will face off against Wheaton-Warrenville South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
