Even though Arlington scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Florence/Henry still came out on top. Florence/Henry walked away with a 66-55 win over Arlington.
Great Plains Lutheran suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Clark/Willow Lake by a score of 42-40. Great Plains Lutheran has struggled against Clark/Willow Lake recently, as their match on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alex Heil, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Austin Rubendall was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Florence/Henry's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Florence/Henry came out on top in a nail-biter against Great Plains Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, sneaking past 55-52. Does Florence/Henry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Great Plains Lutheran turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
