The Brookstone Cougars won the last time they faced the Kendrick Cherokees, and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went Brookstone's way against Kendrick as Brookstone made off with a 42-22 win. The team ran away with 30 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Brookstone found their leader in underclassman Carsyn Galligan, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Maggie Yancey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Brookstone and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Kendrick, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Brookstone will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Strong Rock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Kendrick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
