The Hobart Brickies won the last time they faced the River Forest Ingots, and things went their way on Saturday too. Hobart came out on top against River Forest by a score of 58-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hobart.
Anthony Hnilo was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with four steals. Hnilo set a new season high mark in points with 28. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Lopez, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
River Forest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ya'Hyness Williams, who scored 13 points along with five assists. Williams also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Fergerson, who scored 14 points.
The win got Hobart back to even at 3-3. As for River Forest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobart will take on Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Forest, they will head out on the road to face off against Illiana Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Illiana Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
