Kearney Catholic waltzed into their contest Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They put the hurt on McCook with a sharp 53-31 win. Kearney Catholic might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Kearney Catholic had a senior duo take command as Callie Squiers dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds and Londyn Carnes scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Carnes scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Tessa Colling, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Boone Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Tuesday. They strolled past Twin River with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. That looming 62-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Boone Central yet this season.
Kearney Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.67 points. As for Boone Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
