Tyeshia Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chilton County, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Ivyonna Varner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Benjamin Russell's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-8. As for Chilton County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Russell will take on Calera at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jemison at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Jemison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 316th, while Chilton County is ranked 121st).
