Lone Peak had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Syracuse Titans by a score of  3-1. The  victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won nine  matches in a row  dating back to last season.
 Lone Peak had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-17,  25-21.
 Ava Burgess paced Lone Peak's offense, picking up 17 kills. Burgess got some help from  Nevaeh Tien and her 22 assists.  Lauren Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
 Despite the  loss, Syracuse saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Carly Decker  had eight  digs and three  assists.
 Coming up, Lone Peak will welcome Bountiful  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Syracuse, they will host Woods Cross  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
