The Edgemont Moguls suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 58-32 defeat at the hands of Hyannis. Edgemont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.
Several Moguls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sebastian Morse, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Morse has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Keaton Darrow was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Edgemont and nudges their season record down to 1-10. As for Hyannis, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Edgemont on the road again on Friday and play against Sioux County at 12:15 p.m. on January 19th. Sioux County and Edgemont are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Hyannis, they will take on Morrill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Morrill is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
