The Solon Comets put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 69-34 victory over Twinsburg. Fans of Solon have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Despite the defeat, Twinsburg saw an underclassman step up: Taylor Dye scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaci Hutton, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Solon pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Twinsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Solon will head out on the road to face off against Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Brecksville-Broadview Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Twinsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. North Royalton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
