Tareavion Mageo Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is White Oak's Tareavion Mageo, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Mageo rushed for 292 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
The win (which was White Oak's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Mageo and White Oak will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dixon at 7:00 p.m.

West Carteret Gets a Boost from Payne in 63-42 Defeat
West Carteret had to settle for second on Friday, but Tanner Payne sure wasn't going down easily. Payne turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 403 yards and five touchdowns.
For the season, Payne has thrown 24 touchdowns while averaging 279.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging seven passing yards per game.

Caleb Simco Dazzles in Richlands Win
Richlands picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Caleb Simco. Simco was unstoppable, rushing for 230 yards on only nine carries, while also throwing for 117 yards on eight of 15 attempts. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Richlands pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Simco and Richlands will head out on the road to challenge West Carteret at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Richlands Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Semaj Thompson
Semaj Thompson was instrumental in extending Richlands's winning streak to seven on Friday. Thompson was dynamite, picking up five sacks and making 11 total tackles.
On the season, Thompson has averaged 5.9 total tackles per game and for the season has 6.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one sack.

Jasiah Jones Makes It Two for West Carteret
The second West Carteret player making an appearance here is Jasiah Jones, and for good reason. He picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 65 yards.
Jones must have White Oak's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Vikings), he picked up 176 receiving yards and a touchdown.
