The Nunamiut Amaguq's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-30 walloping at the hands of Hutchison. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nunamiut has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Nunamiut still got an impressive performance from Justus Mulcahy, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Gordon, who scored no points along with six steals.
Nunamiut's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hutchison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.
Nunamiut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-60 defeat vs. Non Varsity Opponent on the 9th. Hutchison will look to defend their home court on Friday against Valdez at 7:30 p.m. Valdez is coming into the matchup with six straight losses on the road, meaning Hutchison will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
