With a playoff game on the line, the Manheim Central Barons rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 65-28 win over the Raiders. The victory was nothing new for Manheim Central as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Brycen Armold was his usual excellent self, rushing for 367 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. Armold really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Another player making a difference was Zac Hahn, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Despite the defeat, Twin Valley had strong showings from Drew Engle, who gained 256 total yards and a touchdown, and Evan Myers, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Engle hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
Manheim Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Twin Valley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2.
Manheim Central will head out on the road to face off against Bishop McDevitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McDevitt has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 555 points over their last 11 games. Twin Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
