The St. Anthony Yellowjackets can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past TMI-Episcopal 54-13 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory St. Anthony has posted since December 2, 2023.
St. Anthony was led to victory by Laura Sierra and Alejandra Vargas. Sierra dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and 11 steals, while Vargas dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 assists. Sierra is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Airial Casillas, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
The win (which was St. Anthony's third in a row) raised their record to 14-11. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for TMI-Episcopal, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anthony will square off against Saint Mary's Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Mary's Hall will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for TMI-Episcopal, they will head out on the road to square off against Providence Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Catholic has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
