Savoy's game on Friday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the S & S Consolidated Rams by a score of 52-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Despite the loss, S & S Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brenden Hammer dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Hammer. Joe Orr was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Savoy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for S & S Consolidated, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Savoy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-31 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 7th. As for S & S Consolidated, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-28 loss against Bridgeport on the 10th.
