North Tampa Christian Academy stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 88-60 win over St. John Paul II Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Landyn Colyer and Bryant were among the main playmakers for North Tampa Christian Academy as the former scored 25 points along with five steals and two blocks and the latter almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 11 rebounds, and nine blocks. Bryant is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Ezekiel UDOZORH was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Vanguard earned a 59-49 win over Seabreeze on Monday. Given Vanguard's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Seabreeze is ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Johnardo Turner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring eight points along with six assists and six steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jandrian Smith, who scored nine points.
North Tampa Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Vanguard, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: North Tampa Christian Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 70.3 points per game.
