New Prairie has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Mishawaka Cavemen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Prairie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Mishawaka is ranked 40th).
New Prairie struggled with assists on Friday (Jimtown had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. New Prairie was dealt a 64-35 defeat at the hands of Jimtown.
Despite their defeat, New Prairie saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaydon Clemons, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Devan Kalicki was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Mishawaka beat Concord 43-34 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mishawaka.
New Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mishawaka, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
New Prairie was taken down by Mishawaka 74-42 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can New Prairie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
