Samir Crosby Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Greensburg Central Catholic's Samir Crosby, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Crosby rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.7) per game. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making eight total tackles, and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Jeannette had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Crosby it was a similar story. When Crosby last faced the Jayhawks back in October of 2023, he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Jayden Floyd was instrumental in extending Leechburg's winning streak to seven on Friday. Floyd did his part (and then some), rushing for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 100 yards while completing 88.9% of his passes for the 'W'.
Frazier had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Floyd it was a similar story. When Floyd last faced the Commodores back in September of 2023, he rushed for 107 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Timmy Andrasy Delivers Best Effort of Season
Leechburg was led to victory by Timmy Andrasy, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Andrasy rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.
This season, Andrasy has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 82.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 11.57 rushing yards per game.

Brown Posts Huge Game in 44-27 Defeat
Jeannette was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Kymon'E Brown did his best to prevent it. Greensburg Central Catholic had no answer to Brown as he rushed for 205 yards while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Brown also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes.
Jeannette is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. Their road trip will continue as they head out to face Brentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Drahcir Jones Delivers Electric Effort Vs Springdale
Drahcir Jones's big game helped extend Clairton's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Jones as he rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 68 yards.
Jones and Clairton will face off against Leechburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones will face off against Timmy Andrasy, the Blue Devils' star rusher. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
